PRO WEIN in Düsseldorf, March 2010
The sommelier of CASA DEL VINO restaurant-enoteca Oleg Kuznetsov has visited the PRO WEIN exhibition held from 21 to 23 March in the German city of Düsseldorf.
Since 1994, as the PRO WEIN exhibition has entered the world exhibition market, it has become a globally known and the most important trade fair for the wine and spirits business.
For three days an entire exhibition center has been transformed into a huge tasting room. Each visitor could taste dozens of thousands of wines, spirits or get first-hand detailed comments from the producers. Three days is a very short term to see all the exhibits, taste the samples and communicate with the winemakers. However, these three days can give the visitors more experiences and knowledge than they might get from books or magazines while not being able to talk with the winemakers and to taste the wine they have read about.
The experts give a very concise description of this trade fair – concentrated and professional. The 2010 PROWEIN has exhibited the products of such traditional winemaking powers as Austria, Germany, Italy, France, East European countries and the New World's producers from Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, SAR, USA and other countries.
