2007, March, the 12th ProWein-2007

ProWein Exhibition took place in the town of Dusseldorf, Germany, March. 18-20. Alcoholic drinks from 43 countries of the world as well as all kinds of wine accessories were presented at the exhibition.

The exhibition has been developing from year to year and its scale and organization level are constantly growing. This time a record was set up, with the exhibitors amounting to 3041. An enormous number of wine business professionals from all over the world have visited the exhibition over these 3 days

Among them you could also see Russian representatives, including our sommelier Aleksey Basov, who arrived at the invitation of German Wine Institute. After the exhibition was over, Aleksey set up for the trip through two most prestigious wine-making regions of the country: Mosel-Saar-Ruver and Rheingau. The agenda of the visit included meeting with wine-makers and the degustation of wines in place.

As a result, Aleksey got answers to many professional questions, which have been bothering him for years and saw with his own eyes everything he was interested in. He also had an opportunity to know more about German wines from the manufacturer: Weingut Markus Molitor (www.markusmolitor.com), Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler (www.pauly-bergweiler.com), Weingut Kunstler ( www.weingut-kuenstler.de), Weingut Georg Breuer (www.georg-breuer.com), Schloss Vollrads (www.schlossvollrads.com).

These manufactures are not present in Russian market yet, but we are trying to improve the situation.
