King of Spain Juan Carlos I arrived in Sochi on an official visit in late August.

After the official part of the visit was over, the king was offered a cultural program. As everybody knows that the Spanish monarch is an ardent admirer of hunting, the organization of his leisure didn’t arouse any questions. Inspired by endless Russian spaces and wonderful forests, Juan Carlos I stispied his heart’s desire by hunting a bear.

An old Russian tradition is that each hunting is followed by a rich, abundant meal. The Spanish monarch was offered three theme meals: Russian, Hunter’s and Asian ones. Touched by the hospitality and cordiality of the host, Juan Carlos I granted of his “royal” back the menu, signed with his own hand in acknowledgement of a magnificent reception.
